it is the one with the highest fat content but most of the fat are medium chain trygllicerides that have a slightly lower claorie content, and are more rapidly absorbed and burned as energy.

MCT is also shown to increase calorie burning compared to other fats.

Copy + Paste..^

sorry dude.. I beg to differ about Muscle Milk being shit. over all it is better tasting and it has that time release ..

that's just my input though.. ur a more hardcore trainer.. i'm not trying to be a body builder.

20-30 gramns of whey protein with a slow digesting carbohydrate source such as oats or brown rice is your best bet for before the workout. It is necessary to do this before a workout so you have fresh amino acids flowing thorough your bloodstream and plenty of carbs to keep your energy levels up. Taking in a lot of protein and carbs after a tough workout is even more important that beforehand. Your body is really bad at turning calories into fat after a workout so this is a prime time to load up on protein and carbs. The 45 minutrs after a workout are known as the "window of opportunity" since your body is so efficient at using nutrients to build muscle at this point. I usually go with around 50 g's of protein and up to 100 g's carbs postworkout..................but thats just me

My advice would be to stop drinking all that artificial shit, drink more water and eat decent food

If you need supplements you're not eating the right food.

Solution: Eat the right food.

i disagree. sometimes supplements are a great way to get in extra nutrients in protein that would normally be more difficult to get. i agree you that it is most important to eat plenty of "real" food, but supplements can be a great way to "supplement" your diet.

Still way too many fat calories, especially for a girl. You don't have testosterone, so your muscles can't grow anywhere near as much as these supplements can assist. But it's ok, I'm not going to rain on your parade.

Also, you'd look funny all jacked up

I dont take carbs post workout.

No shakes will substitute the real foods So stick to chicken, steak and lean meats. They are called "supplements" for a reason. Without good diet the shakes are worthless.

The reason whey protein is good post workout is because it is very fast digesting. Your body needs nutrients post workout. My PW shake usually is 1.5 scoops of whey and some dextrose.

Melly rules haha! I drink MuscleMilk too! I've been drinking musclemilk for about 6 months now before and after my workouts. I've gotten the most results out of this supplement compared to anything else i've ever taken. Plus cookies and cream is like the best tasting shake, i drink it just to drink it sometimes even if i'm not working out.

Protien-Yes its true, after a workout Whey Protien is your best choice. If you wiegh 200lbs you need to consume 200-220g's of protien a day. Your best bet is to have 5-7 meals every 2-3 hours, this improves metabolic efficiency and puts you in a muscle building, fat burning state.

Carbs-You should use the Glycemic Index and aim for low count carbs like Oats, brown rice, sweet potatoe, and strawberries. If you avoid carbs you won't have any energy for the next training day.

Fats-They're necessary for the production and formation of hormones, and they help your body absorb calcium and fat soluble vitamins. They also slow down the release of sugar and amino acids into the bloodstream, good fats are Olive Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Omega 3+6 fatty acids.

Supplements-BSN products are really good for example NO-xplode and Cellmass and they are explained up top ^^

high-GI carbs are essential post-workout to replenish depleted glycogen levels.
