Inspired by azndragon's thread I got to thinking...
I'm sure pretty much all of us have unfinished tracks and pieces of melodies that we know could become an awesome song but for some reason or another we just never seem to be able to finish them off. So, wouldn't it be a good idea to share some of those clips and see if there's anyone around here that could finish them off.
Now, obviously you wouldn't have to share the work files to everyone, you could just post mp3 clips and if someone's interested you could send the working files directly to them.
Is this a good idea or have I finally lost it for good?
This is a great idea, not to mention the learning curve of a lot of producers with regards to EQing, compression and so on. Long live azndragon and Mr.Mystery

I work with Reason, so you'd have to work with midi I guess...

Copyright springs straight to mind...very dodgy if there are some dodgy characters on here....sorry but i dont trust anyone just using my riffs.
I don't know about you, but that kind of paranoia would cramp my creativity pretty much altogether. I make and share music because I love doing so, not because I care about my copyrights. I'm not saying I don't care at all but as long as I'm only doing it for fun I don't really see any reason to be so paranoid.
hey mystery could i have a go @ way too happy, if you could hook it up with a midi that'd be cool!

Yeah, I agree. I think copyright may be way too strong considering the reality is that most of us will never write a floor filler (The truth is harsh).
Given that there isn't massive amounts of money to be made in dance music these days as a producer I would be happy if I just had my name acknowldedged somewhere.
I'm currently working on anzdragon's melody 3, and was going to do a 'vs' thing anyway. In my eyes I see it more as free colaberation than anything else which is half the fun to me.
I get to see how other people work and in turn I expect to send back the FLP so they can see how I do things. I will probably learn more than other people but maybe I can teach someone something too.
