Thanx. That is a bit of a floor for me, but there are ways around it I guess (use track faders)

Cool, so using a midi controller of some sort actually makes the fade more progressive? I guess then it's the way the software is set (ie not enough points on the x-fader like 128, but more like 3 measure points)

Re: Ableton Request/Rant/Suggestion...

Ok, here is a question and it may be slightly controversial so I am wearing my finest asbestos underpants...
The situation is this, I am looking to make Demos and prepare non-live radio mixes on my PC using Ableton.
I have tried that beat warping thing and it is doing my freaking head in. I have read the manuals. I am missing something that is probably pretty darn obvious but not sure what.

A couple buddies of mine are doing a CD and, because of time constraints, used Ableton rather than just mixing it 50 times until they got a perfect take.
I did the warping for them which I think they took for granted because it only took me half an hour to do. And in the process I showed them my technique, which took me a lot of time to perfect, but is easy to learn.
Soooo I wonder if I should do a video on it. I could probably do it this weekend. And if you wanted to FTP me the tracks I could use your tracks as examples for the video. If this sounds interesting PM me and we can work out the details.
(Please nobody else PM me. If I do it I'll post it for all to see.)
