it is also a mixing program, hence "live".. it would be easier for him to use ableton is he is a producer because he'll be able to get around quickly.. and since ableton beatmatches itself (after warping, which takes a minute at most once you get the hang of it) he can do all kinds of crazy things in his mix because of his producing skills.

thats basically the high point about ableton, it brings DJs and producers together into one neat little package.
