Three Reasons for Banning:
First off the premise of an electronic forum must be established. The premise of an electronic forum is for the open and free exchange of of information through literature and art, whether it be text or graphic, that revolve a community[/B}.
1. Clearly it can be demonstrated through your use of language
[B]"..if you are not interested in the party, do not open the thread. .."
that you do not understand the meaning of the word open. The word open as defined by the dictionary in a transitive verb manner implies that I somehow started this thread or forced my way in to this thread; neither of which are possible since you started this thread and this is a free open exchange. You might want to consider taking some english classes before posting another thread.
2. On the proposition that forums revolve around communities, it symbolicly represents a house that surrounds those that visit. This implicitly dictates that the laws of this house are governed by those that inhabit it most frequently and for the longest duration. Being that forums assume a residential role any unwanted advertisement is then considered to be spam. It is expected to be tolerated from less fortunate and less educated individuals, not from those that are considered members of the family.
3. On the most basic level it comes down to respect. How many times do people have to ask and plead with you until you stop? I mean it's even less work on your end. You just do nothing. Would you want me to PM you once a week saying that you needed to start meditating or your karma is gonna go to shit? Most likely not. We kindly ask the same of you.
In conclusion, I'm not really for banning anyone. I find it rather rude and extreme. BUT, when individuals show a lack of general respect for others it shows an extreme immaturity that should not be allowed on TA. TA is meant for adults and not children.
