no offense taken.
it really depends on what circles you're in. Scottsdale Arizona hosts a lot of internation conferences from people from all over the place particularly in the winter months. There are also a fair number of Canadians that retire there.
I knew of it long before moving to the US. I wouldn't say it is famous or anything but it does have a very good reputation amongst those that know of it.
