No, you do not fucking ask this question in the production. Ever.

Every fucking day some goddamn chump comes asking for this. Enough is enough.

its better them asking there and getting told to piss of than asking here which is obviously the wrong place. At least if they learn the distinction between DJING and PRODUCTION thats one step in the right direction.

If you really need to ask something like this then you really don't even need to know.

Thread starter. Read the production studio stickies. Do not ask questions outlined in those stickies because the entire weight of the production studio userbase will come down on you like a tonne of bricks. As Mysteryman says, every day someone asks a question like this.

If you want general purpose information it will either be in the stickies or archived somewhere in the production forum. Use the search tool. For specific questions you have regarding production that are not in the stickies or which you cannot find in the archives, feel free to start a thread on it. One of us jaded bastards will help you out eventually.

In addition to Fruity Loops, another good program is Reason [http://www.propellerheads.se/]; however expensive, it has anything a basic recording studio would have.

But, the learning curve is extremely high with the program, so unless you're dedicated to learning it, it's not worth wasting your money on.

Buy a Casio keyboard, cheap one like $40 or $50, get a cheapy drum set for like another $50, and start banging away on it like a madman... or better yet get some pots and pans and just bang away on them like you did when you were a little kid and you can start to create some really cool trance music! for free! just have to ask your mommy's permission to bang on her pots and pans! They can produce some really cool beats! Also there's those chime sets that little kids use with those colorfull keys and you can use that along with the pots and pans to create some really neat melodies! You can call your composition "Fly".. you'll have a gay ole' time!

P.S. it's cheapier then buying a program, and a whole lot more fun!!!
