I'm not familiar with the original...I should check that out. Until then, my credibility on this is only as far as I can say based on what I hear here.

Primo! The only thing that got to me was the constant stutter-esque of the kick. And the only way I'd remedy that is simply just change the velocity of the individual stutters a little more perhaps. Ah, it grew on me later in the track though.

Woops, totally forgot about this thread

Yeah, well you're right. I could've altered the velocity a bit more than it was right now.
Then again I think it's not too disturbing, it hits the flow later on within the track

Interesting "re-make"

Im not a fan of the double-triple kicks just because I think the kicks dont sound mixed into the orginal track very well - i dunno theres just not enoiugh fatness in the kick to my liking. Also - maybe if you played some frequency modulation on the kicks to give them a key progression of their own - it would add a new dimension to the piece.

Keep it up.

Spence

i hate the kick, it kinda sounds like a pneumatic drill! and people are right about the percussion.. its way too basic and doesnt evolve or develop at all. at the moment it doesnt do much for me... there is literally no bassline (???) To me it sounds like the original with a funny breakbeat thing stuck on top. Not what i would define as a remix personally. But still fair play to you for trying, the original is a lovely track.

Crisp. Chilly.

I like it. Though more percs would be better. Maybe a tad too much reverb on the kick to.

The kick is extremely repetitive so automatically my ears went to listen to the percussion. Yes they are basic but they work so if you made the kick work aswell itd be 100x better. A bassline would be a nice compliment to the track aswell.

7.5/10

Nice work Mat as always...gotta agree with mr. mystery here though...the stutter on kick is quite annoying after a while...otherwise it's great

The kick is too reverbed and the beat is rather annoying.
The snare is too sharped.
I like your sines. What synth did you use to make them?
The vocals are cool.
You should add some hihats & congas.
I'd play this if the beat would be different.
Where did you get the accapella?
Nice synced synth.
Maybe add something else other then sines?
Nice bell-like sound.

7/10
Omer.

Matter of taste I'd say.
Wanted to try something different.

Standard sine + a bit bitcrushing to add some top.

I'd have added congas if it was a different beat
Besides the Remix was more of a fun project anyway.
Only put 1/10th of the time inside it i usually do when I work on serious remixes.

Ripped off the original.
EQs / FX

Not that I didnt try. But anything else than those sines gave a bad taste to the track or put the original out of sight too far.,
Nice bell-like sound.
