2. Check your facts whats the largest sport in america played by youths...thats right its soccer and also with adults I could argue that in NYC tristate area there are more soccer players than basketball....in the City itself its more indoor outside on the fields its impossible to not have a huge pickup game. Thousands come to the park i play at every weekend
3. I have more of a distaste the way its run and the way it presents themselves if you want me to post a link to the way I would fix US Soccer and MLS i will : http://p088.ezboard.com/fworldfootb...opicID=19.topic
Thats a US site's article there are many bias stories written. Plus I never visit soccernet because like America it focuses on just the MLS and English leagues |
I know the fact about soccer being the largest sport played by U.S. youths. However, when they get older they transition to basketball or american football because in the U.S. that's eventually where those athletes think they can become successful. $$$, fame, etc. I guess I imagine the athletes like Michael Jordan growing up in the U.S. with a passion for soccer and how great they could be. But it's only a what could happen type of story.
What I'm saying that Kasey Keller was voted to be the National Player of the year. So if he's a weakness then we got a serious problem! He was long considered one of the best keepers when he was with Tottenham. I know Brad Friedel won the EPL keeper of the year a couple of years ago and he's been displaced by Keller. I like Friedel more though to be honest, he was awesome last world cup. I know he's a little old now though.
True about soccernet but that was the first one I pulled up. I read that because I follow mostly the EPL. I do because when I lived in Thailand all the EPL matches are free and I watched a ton of them. That's how I began to love the sport.
MLS is garbage.
