3d autocad is completely pointless and useless. Complete waste of time.

find a better 3d Cad program to do it on. Solid Edge, inventor, Catia etc...all of which I have

what are you trying to do?

READING COMPREHENSION!

From post #3: "I basically need to make a shoe with an adjustable heel at different heights".

Well AutoCAD isn't the best software to do 3D but it's easy to get your hands on it.

Here is a pics of my Vestax Turntables and Mixer I've done in 4-5 hours. It's not really detailed but I didn't spend much time on it!

Looks good!
its just autocad 3d is so assbackwards, slow and overall a pain in the ass. Proper 3d cad programs are so much nicer to use.
You could probably do those turntables and mixer in like 1/2 hour to an hour in a good 3d program.

True that! But I could not get SolidEdge. SolideEdge is really hard to get because of the required Key that needs to be present in the printer/server port.

So apparently solidworks is not made for the mac. LOL all I found was a petition. Can't I do anything like this in photoshop? Made even steal a shoe picture...make it cartoon-ish? Change the heel lengths? I dunno...hehe that's why I luv finance...can manipulate numbers easily in excel

I'm just super pissed cuz this one girl supposed had a friend that was gonna do this and literally told me yesterday that oh, sorry he can't. I hate when people promise things and then end up re-neg'ing completely! ARGHHHH...

Thanks for everyone's ideas so far.
