Yeah, well only radiation is 100% guaranteed to cause cancer. But they do increase your chances of getting lung cancer ... by a lot. The difference in this story is that they didn't find any correlation between lung cancer and marijuana at all.

Understandable. Society has pounded it into our heads that smoking cigarettes is so bad, that people just automatically assume that smoking pot is just as bad, if not worse. As far as I know, since it was initially criminalized in this country, pot has never been decriminalized. There was talk of decriminalizing it a while back, but it never actually happened.

no obviously letting it into clubs, public places etc will take a lot longer than legalizing it for general use but eventualy they should since they are proving now that it isn't harmful.

but just in general, how can a cop arrest someone for smoking (not that they do unless ur a complete retard about it, but they can) if it is:

a. not harmful to others (if you're in a park for instance)
b. not harmful to you
c. smells so damn good
