The X-Session is a very good value and works well as a controller for 2 channel DJing. But it is really an adaptation of a previous product called the UC-16 and sort of general-purpose and not specially designed just for DJing, although it does have the cross-fader, which some people don't use as they prefer to use the channel level controls.
There are more expensive units that are designed explicitly for DJing such as the FaderFox. A new one that looks good is the Feena FMDJ9303, more expensive, bigger & heavier:

There's another good 2 channel box called the Kontrol-DJ, more expensive.
Only problem is that the 2-channel versions of Traktor (2.53 & 2.6) are no longer officially available, they are selling Traktor 3 which can use up to 4 virtual decks, and most Midi controllers such as the X-Session, FaderFox, Feena, & Kontrol-DJ have enough knobs for only 2 decks. You can still use them with Traktor 3 and just use 2 decks, or alternately use 3 or 4 decks but use less knobs and switches per deck. There are 4 channel Midi controllers being designed but they will be expensive.
Personally I'm sticking with the X-Session as I like it's small size & weight and it's still an excellent choice. If you decide computer DJing is not for you then it hasn't cost a lot and you can still use the X-Session for other music software (production) or just sell it. If I was starting again the FaderFox or Feena would be alternatives. I'm waiting for a really good 4 channel controller that is designed for Traktor 3.
