Oh and after listening to these W1000's for even a couple minutes, it becomes pretty evident of the sound quality difference between $100 and $500 phones. It also reveals which productions are actually really good and which are so-so.

Hmm yeah I'm interested in trying out an external DAC and seeing how big of a difference there is. Looking towards the Zhaulu D2 right now.. but need a sound card with digital out first
