just to clear my point

the 200s are NOT a bad buy, in fact they are a great buy. But honestly with making/mixing sets I wouldn't consider the on board effects of the 200 any reason to choose over any other CD deck...so I usually just toss that factor out the window. No one likes listening to a set when the DJ is an effects whore anywho! As someone has said earlier in this post the auto-cue isn't all that, in fact most of the time it's off, not technicly but in que-terms. That's why i suggested the cdj-800mk1 over the mk2...they usually dont go for over 450-500 bucks on ebay. But if you go for the 200s, you wont be disapointed other than the cueing. All depends on the cash flow you know? So it looks like you've already weighed the best solution for the situation your're in, cant go wrong either way ! GL

200's are a good buy. and, if you're worried about space, cdj-800 and cdj-1000's are huge compared to 200's.

got my cdj-200`s a year ago and I love them!! get them!!! best value for money! of course the 1000 is better, but they are way to expensive,..

Speak for yourself, I find it a bit boring when there aren't effects in some of the tunes and the tracks are just mixed in and faded out. I like altering it live, and I like djs that can alter tracks live, like Zabiela, and what people are able to do with Ableton.

Still, the 200's OWN! I love the effects put in, mixed with the effects built in on my mixer. I've never touched vinyl turntables so I really couldn't compare the cueing. Beatmatching has become pretty easy, and overall I think I'm OK at mixing, definitely not good by any standard. Best money I've spent in a while though.

You would only have to cue it like that if you wanted to cue a different part of the track.

I've got a pair of these, and I will say the autocue isn't that bad but it doesn't work on every song, ie. AxEr - 123.

Other than that if you're fine living without the vinyl mode or the other not-that-essential differences between the 200 and 800/1000, then definitely get the 200's. They are so worth the money.
