I truly wanted to understand what you were going for so I approached this mix on a day off and an open mind. A lot of the artists I recognize but it were the new tracks themselves that attracted me to this mix in the first place. The physical part of mixing is nice and tight, but the other aspect such as organization is something to point out. By organization I’m referring to a skill that can’t be taught at least to a certain extent. It’s being able to imagine how people will react when each track is dropped. Even though every transition was seamless I wasn’t feeling how you put this whole set together. It was hit or miss with each tune and sort of a drag to keep listening to. In the end I wasn’t able to enjoy the mix because of its organization and mediocre track selection. This surprised me after that chat we had a couple of days ago because I had high hopes for this set.
On a more positive note I really enjoyed the tracks you played at the 20, 41, 50, and the 64 minute marks as well as track 7.
Overall don’t be discouraged as I tend to be somewhat anal and confused when it comes to certain individual’s definition of uplifting trance versus taste. |
Nice, my first bad review, heh
