There's a difference between a conspiracy theory, possibillity and a fact. The article is a fact, and so are the statement and subsequent events.
Basically, we have a fact that Roswell UFO crash did happen. Government covered it up, one way or another, and what they say is a "conspiracy theory", because they are just asking for people's faith and provide no substantial evidence, especially with reference to the actual Roswell crash.
The dummies story was added later when substantial information leakes suggesting military retrieved bodies from the site.
Philip Corso (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_J._Corso ) is a very respected and highly-ranking Pentagon official who retired in 1997 and wrote a book called 'The Day AFter Roswell' in which he described the Roswell artifacts he saw and how he was involved in reverse-engineering alien technology. Philip Corso has incredible credibility as he served under several US presidents, and was a high-ranking Pentagon official at the time when he worked on Roswell files.

There is a saying: Believe half of what you see and none of what you read. Just because something is written in print, certainly doesn't prove it as a factual occurrence. A newspaper article is simply one writer's interpretation of a collection of observations. You don't prove anything simply by posting a picture of an article (that you can't read, can't tell the source, and that you pulled from an obvious conspiracy website called "Abovetopsecret.com").
And with regards to Col. Corso, Wikipedia doesn't offer much about him, but the page you linked to does say this:
| quote: | ...He states that these actions led to the development of fiber optics, lasers, integrated circuit chips and more. Many scientists disagreed strongly; the invention of the transistor, for instance, is preceded by certain related patents dated 15 years earlier.
Michael Lindemann said of Corso's book: "What Corso says cannot be confirmed. The reader must accept or reject a litany of extravagant claims on the basis of Corso's credibility alone.... |
For chrissakes, the integrated circuit was first successfully created by Jack Kilby of Texas Instruments on 2/6/59. Which is harder to believe: ICs were discovered in the desert after an alien spaceship crashed and the rubble was reverse engineered (even though the crash itself is only a theory), or that ICs were discovered when a scientist working for a technology company successfully manufactured one after years of research. Unless of course you think Kilby was in on it. Too bad we can't ask him since he's dead.

I love your ignorance. Actually, I can read the article. I have the book with the article on the back. Plus I searched for some of the words and got the whole story. I matched it to the script, its the same. As for authenticity of the article, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roswell_crash < LOL, yes, please please DENY Wikipedia

& MANY OTHER LINKS, GOOGLE IT.
The crash is not a theory. Its a fact as several prominent military officials confirmed it, only to change their stories later. So I proved you wrong!!! All you have left is the right for ignorance of the whole thing!!!

Keep up junior. I was talking about your first article. You know, the one about a disappearing ship. |
If the Roswell Crash was covered up, and even Manhattan Project was hidden in deep secret until detonation of the bomb, what else is the government covering up from us? Please dont let ignorance get the best of you.

I respect your opinions, and as for the case of Philadelphia Experiment you do have more proof than I do, but when it comes to Roswell you guys have yet to produce any credible evidence to what I mentioned in this thread today. If you say that military contradicted itself in its first release of information about Roswell crash, you are contradicting yourself when you say that government is not covering anything up and it was just some silly weather balloon experiment. There would be no need for change of information, especially when that information opposes each other.
