Pretty much everyone already covered it.

Here's the trade offs...

Sound Quality... A&H XONE!!!! Hands down.

Effects... Pioneer, but quality sucks! Except for the DJM800, which is close to the Xone quality, but not quite there.

I've never used the Ecler, but I've been hearing some good things.

Other great mixers to look into are any RANE mixers. The sound quality is superior to that of the Xone. However, they don't have any effects, but the quality is sick. We actually did a sound quality test with the A&H, Rane, & Pioneer mixers, and Rane came out the clear winner.

Most people say the 92 blows an MP2016 out of the water any day, but it's a lot of preference when you get into the high end mixers. A+H mixers have a unique sound.

Nobody has ever faulted a Urei 1620 for sound quality, though.

The 800 supposedly sounds very good.

Of all the mixers being discussed, only the 600 has a problem with sound quality/build quality.

I wouldnt even consider the DJM-600 anymore, as the newer mixers are all much better than it.

As stated, the ECLER NUO5 is a great peice for the price, with 12 effects/filters, great sound and build quality, great EQ's (with full kills) and the famed ETERNAL magnetic x-fader.

The XONE:62 is great too...but its a bit cramped, and I'm personally not a big fan of the 4-band EQ and studio-style faders

MP44 is the way to w/rane, if you don't want a rotary mixer.

oohhhhhh... i almost forgot about the empath... supposed to be an awsome mixer. never considered one because i was after a 4 channel mixer at the time.

With the Rane Mixers, you won't find any extra bells and whistles. They are stripped down mixers with just the basic functions. However, Rane concentrates on the quality of their mixers and it shows. They are the Stealth Fighters of the DJ Mixers. They're black, sexy, and slim. Sound quality kicks ass, they're so crisp, so punchy. The rane MP2016 rotary made a shitty sound system sound like a million dollars at a club I played at. The quality is quite noticeable. The only other mixer that came close to it is the Xone 92.

Rane mixers are notorious for their number of inputs. The Rane MP2016 Rotary has 6 INPUTS PER CHANNEL!!! That's right 6 INPUTS!!! With a total number of 6 channels, the Rane MP2016 can actually have 36 DEVICES HOOKED UP AT ONCE!!!!! That's amazing!

The Mp2016 is a rotary mixer that's a favorite among the house crowd.

Not quite 36!

What you see there on the 2016 is a "matrix" input. On the back of the mixer are inputs for all those inputs you see on the selector knobs above each channel. Those selector knobs just let you pick any one of the inputs for any one of the channels.

There is only one "aux 1" on the back, not an "aux 1" for every channel!

The Denon DN-X1500 also has this type of input system, as do the Urei 1620's.
