No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like a fine mixer but it's more than double the budget here in Europe . Anyway, I'm in no real need for firewire implementation right now, my virus TI will be streamed to USB so it's only my AN1X and my dj mixer.

Get it from US and have it shipped over - should be no more than $60-$80 to have it shipped.
p.s hello from a fellow AN1x/Ti user!

hello ,
In fact I'm a future virus TI user, I'm selling my nova, µQ, sh-32 and some other stuff in order to buy a TI. The point is to move to a semi-software studio with one workstation/midi controller. My an1x never leaves this place tho . Great stuff, it's the main reason why I need a mixer.
About the mixer, beside the fact that it takes up to 6 weeks to arrive and that it has another power supply I really don't have that much cash to spend on a mixer.
I'm sure it's a great tool but I don't need the amounts of in/outs nor the firewire.
Armin uses soundcraft, it can't be that bad

Ghost is very different to Folio or Spirit..
That said they're all good desks for the money. Soundcraft, Allen & Heath, Mackie would be my top picks in that kind of price range.
Avoid Mehringer. Really.

Has anyone tested out those small Tapco mixers? I'd be intrested in their build-quality and sound characteristics. They look too cheap to be good, but you never know...
