My advice is defiently to get the cdj200's.

I was looking at cdj-200 vs cdj1000mk2 when i bought my set up and ultimately decided on 1000's. Which I am really happy with. But a few of the clubs i have played at have had cmx3000 or cdj200 and i have started to just use the cdj stutter mode on my 1000's. In reality i barely ever use the vinyl mode. I have them on cdj mode 90% of the time.

The vinyl mode is cool to show off when friends come around. For the WOW look at this factor. But really the cdj200 has everything u need and more. Mp3, built in effects,.02 pitch, really nice feeling jog wheel.


Go the 200 and never look back.

i dunno, i have done 5 hour house parties (sweaty, humid, extremely hot conditions) and the cd player carried its business fine. Although 1/4 of the time i wasn't using them. Still i think your friend got a faulty player. despite what i have said, i still would recommend a cdj-1000 (as i have not used the 200). Its an excellent player which is produced by a company with a good reputation and support team. whatever you go with...i hope you are happy at then end

Has Stanton came out with a Mk2 of the C.304 to fix the overheating issues, or was that an isolated incident with a select few of them?

If they've solved (or it wasn't a big issue to begin with) the overheating problem, I'm going to be hooking them up to SSL, with my pitch being controlled by the laptop, so while the 0.1 pitch accuracy isn't exactly ideal, it shouldn't prove to be a big problem.

I'm not expecting the scratch function to be really anything spectacular, but honestly, if I'm going to be scratching, I'll be using the vinyl decks, so that's not a huge issue for me.

Can anyone vouch for the reliability of these decks?

I'm just a bedroom DJ, and they'll basically stay in the DJ table, and I'm not going to be gnashing the shit out of them, so would you guys recommend them?

i culdn't tell u. they have released a new version that adds mp3 playback the C.314. dunno if its any different apart from that? im gettin my cdj200 in the next few days!
