Ahh... the madness never stops!
Programming basslines should be an experience akin to Dr. Evilus X-us being locked up inside a 12-achre-square-area chemisry lab. Why in the heck would you want everyone else's recipies?
I can, however, see viable necessity to posting a particular sound, and asking opinions about how it was generated SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU ARE OBSERVING THE WAY SOUND IS SCULPTED!
Now that my rant is out of the way... my basslines were the pits when I first started... they still are, but they're not as bad as they were. Keep banging away on ivories, because full-tracks are what helps your endurance as a producer - not bassline-kickdrum loops.

Sorry but I have to defend Reason here!
Reason rewired into Cubase is great for drums and other samples, especially because it's so reliable and cpu effecient. It's even better if you load drums into an NNXT instead of redrum so you can easily reverse, modulate, filter, tune, adjust the envelope more accurately, load percussion and play percussive rythyms on your keyboard, and enter notes in the piano roll exactly how long you want them.
I like the phaser, scream, and the fact that there are shitloads of refills available for free.
Even without cubase, it's a great sketchpad for getting ideas down quickly as well. A lot of people I know swear by Reason rewired into Cubase.
On the down side, I'm not too keen on the synths (but that's just my opinion) and I would love there to be a lot more stereo outs instead of just one

Don't dump reason... I've heard plenty of quality stuff come out of it.
If anything, just add to the experience. Reason has rewire, and you can have Reason work with your future equipment.
