"father of house"

I love the stuff Digweed has done, both as a DJ and a producer, but in NO WAY WHATSOEVER is he the "father of house".

It's 2006 now. I prefer djs who bring something new to the table rather than going with the played out same old route.

Ie Digweed of Fabric 20 and Transitions now

Digweed,The father of house?hm...There is a problem, Digweed started playing a house idiom(this progressive, tribal thing) after 2000...You should try Larry Heard (Mr.Fingers) or someone from chicago..."Washing machine" ( a legendary house track) was made in 1986...

He's the scruffy guy who turns up at weddings and can't afford a proper suit who is explained as Uncle Somethingorother, "from your Mum's side" of house.

they both still play primarily the same style; progressive house. the only difference is that the sound has evolved. trance went the same route so it wouldnt hurt to mix it up a bit.

indeed, some people should move on like the music does, and stop living in the fucking past. U only make yourself sad if you dont. Only my opinion though. Im not saying here u should jump on every bandwagon but the thing RapidFire said here hits the nail on the head.
