started having shoulder problems about three years ago.
best way to heal it:
1) immediately after pain, massage, apply ice (but not too long)
2) rest, rest, rest. like don't use your arm for heavy stuff. my shoulder was so bad at one point i couldn't lift a coke bottle. obviously i let it rest. i'd say a good amount of time is about 1-2 weeks. i did this for athletic reasons,
3) icy hot; it works.
4) stretches. get one of those rubber band thingies. put it under your feet, and slowly lift your arm. also do the same thing but side to side.
5) if it still hurts, see another doctor.
