Im in a real mixup between the m505 and the dn-x500!
Im going to buy one or the other next week but realy cant decide. I want a quality mixer and the matrix input of the denon along with option for rotary keeps drawing me in whilst the stanton has the P&G cross fader. A fifth chanel. Fits better on my desk has more phono inputs then the denon (denon has only 2 phono).

The denon sounds like it is just a better built mixer though. Opinions on reliability and soundquality between these two would be very helpfull.

i culdnt tell u about the sound quality, but it sounds like ur just gonna have to take the plunge with one. seems to me ur leaning towards the stanton slightly more, although u have been talkin about the denon for a while. stanton have also got the m.505fx dunno if the effects are any good tho i just saw it on a site the other day?

just realised its got a usb port, wonder if its for midi control or just for updating the mixer?

I don't like the stanton mixers for the one reason of the xfader. Look at that knob. Say you want to bring out halliwell style, not going down with the stantons. Also the knobs are very weird. They're very small, hard to get a grip on, and are hard to turn.

I just got the m505 today. I love it, all my mixes have been so smooth.
The xfader comes with a replacment knob thats just a plain old squar black knob.
I like the eq knobs the way they are because you can grab them at the top or at the bottom depending on what kind of control you want.
Ill post pics in the bedroom thread soon.
