hey guys i actually have some if not all the synths you guys mentioned except for the virus.

just need a bit more time and effort with them. so i can use them to there full potemtial

maybe it would be a good idea to just narrow down to maybe 3 or 4 like derivative said cause i dont se the point and all the fuss in having 10 synths when you could do well with just a few

thanks derivative

I do everything on 3 synths. impOSCar for analogue type sounds. AR Bassline for 303 type stuff. Virus for everything else.

Not ruling out the need for other synths. I have very little in the way of digital FM and those timbres are lacking in my tunes. I'd like to get a Future Retro Revolution and phase out Bassline eventually with a real analogue 303 substitute.

But less is more. Even if you have a tonne of synths I recommend just for a couple of months, only using 1 or 2 of them. Try building a whole song out of just AR Bassline. Its easily possible. Then you start to realise just what you can do with 1 voice, 4 octaves, 1 oscillator, a 3 pole filter and a basic step sequencer.

Also, unless you can play a synth to the standard of this man:

Whats the point of having a tonne of instruments if you cant even play one of them with this kind of quality and expression?
