if someone can mix they should be able to use anything that is 0.1% or lower

I really love those pitch bend buttons on the Denons.

like even if you have it on +/- 4%, and say the pitch slider is 10 cm long, to move it only .02% you would have to move the pitch slider down 0.25mm (if my math is correct) which is basically impossible seeing that it would be extremely hard to move it down such a slight ammount... so can someone explain to me why it is important to have such a high pitch resolution....as opposed to having like .1% resolution, like obviously .02% is better but is it really useful when you cant move teh pitch slider that precisely, or is there something i dont understand?

Dude you are not thinking I am going to move it one incriment lower. You just rest your hand on the pitch and listen.
Once you sense a diference in pitch your left hand will rotate the jog while your right hand will move the pitch slider a hairbreath up or down.

The better the resolution the better your mixing will be and the longer the tracks will stay beatmatched.
If for example you want to mash-up two tracks you don't want to feel stuck within incriments.

Now can you feel it? It's getting closer...It's getting closer...
Get the pioneer decks!

yeah maybe the pioneers would be better for me but like i said i amd getting 2 denons, a denon mixer (either x100 or x300), and those denon headphones for $450 in total..... cuz my dad knows a guy through work that has some connection to denon.... to buy pioneers i would be paying like $400 per cd player.... so the whole system would end up costing 3 times as much

Just get the denons dude. Why should you spend so much more cash just for a better pitch resolution? I use TT's with 0.1 and it works fine

A VERY nice setup, especially at that price. There's no reason the DN-S1000's will hold you back.

D00d... who cares if the CDJs have .02 or .1... Honestly, it all comes down to the DJ. Just get whatever you feel comfortable with. TBH, I never even notice the .whatever difference and I mixed on all sorts of CDJs through out the years.

+1...the pitch blend buttons rock

i guess the whole "which pitch incriment" is better is just like vinyl vs. cds...who cares as long as you can mix on the equipment?
