and it's an attitude like that, which has allowed the game to turn ugly. If the people denounced their own players for diving do you think they'd do it? of course not, but people like you turn a blind eye and savour a cheap victory.

Clear cut cases of diving would be driven out of a team like Australia purely because the public here wouldnt allow it. We'd rather see a fair contest (win or lose) rather than dog our way to victory.

I dont mean to single out Italy for their game against Australia.. I mean, most major powers from Europe and South America do it. FIFA should use video footage and suspend players who dive, in their post-match reviews. It's only FIFA's lack of heart to stand up against superpowers (and the money they bring to the table) that allows these pigs to get away with it.
