bob, it was nice chatting with you, glad you had good time.

i'm really crappy with IDs in the club but i do remember hearing kva - walk down, avb - control freak svd remix, dogzilla - without you, simon & shaker- zero and i thought i heard menno de jong - tundra (fierce dub) or else some other very similar floaty melodic track from not too long ago. actually i heard a couple familiar '05 melodies, but my memory is shit

He also played Randy Katana - Plasticfantastic. Craziest I saw the crowd just purely dancing was to this track. The insane intro to the track with the fast ass snare drum going off, when used the right time (and Armin used the track at the perfect point in his set)...it just takes control of you and you can't help yourself but to move to the groove.

I went to bed right after posting last night and finally got up at 6pm. :-p

Everything posted about Armin KILLING IT in SF is absolutely true!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen Armin 5 times and this was his best set imo....he came strong with the first few tracks and never let up....even isa was impressed and she likes strictly house and breaks...the energy, the trackselection, the programming, the mixing, the vibe, the EVERYTHING was insane. Had sooooooooo much fun. We left about a half hour before his set ended but I was sooo fucking tired from the weekend and the 5 jager/redbulls weren't giving me any energy. What a fucking amazing time that was -- I can't wait to see Armin again. (Sept 12 - Armada Closing Party @ Cream Amnesia in Ibiza)

I too have never seen Ruby that packed out and my friends from Sac that i brought down were blown away -- what a perfect night for them to experience ruby skye.

Nice talking to you too Bob -- and of course DaveT, Rich, and Diskodave.

I too will be taking a break until Zabiela -- these last couple months of ruby have been nuts.

Anyways pics, vids, full review of my 3 day partying marathon tomorrow.

Just got back from the city after watching fireworks at the Marina.

3 days + donald glaude + danny howells + armin +5.5 combined total hours of sleep =

Screw the Marina fireworks. Went last year and was boring. Nothing like Orlando or Boston's (best EVER, every year).

We just sat on our balcony (15th story, top floor) and got a 3 hour spectacle. Starting at about 8:30 and trickling out at about 11:30 (still some going off now at 1am, just not a big spectacle). It was insane. As far as we could see in all directions, fireworks going off in the sky. Ghetto style. But lots of commercial grade ones in there, too. Because I live on the edge of Western Addition, a huge chunk of them were going off within a few blocks of me. Looking across the bay to Oakland, it was like the whole city was like Western Addition. Stuff going off everwhere! And the cops only made one person stop because he was doing it in the middle of a busy stream between lights, lol. The police station is right across the street from me and there were cops standing in the parking lot with fireworks going off right across the street in plain view and they didn't care, lol.

Anyhow, it was impressive and the most fun I had at watching fireworks. And I've been to TONs of them. :P

Smoking ..umm..something

Great night...one of the best sets i've heard! I couldn't believe how fast AvB's set went by. I was tired and left around 3:30, but am amazed that he didn't finish until 4:30 --- 4.5+ hr set!!! Sadly, it was too crowded to dance (still not nearly as bad as when PvD spins at 1015). Plus, I wish I had bought earplugs b/c the music was much louder than usual...my ears are still ringing. The crowd was actually slightly better than the typical RS crowd, since I only had one argument with a rude person (who pushed me out of the way to get closer to the DJ), and had a mere single drink spilled on me Gladly, most of the people were there to enjoy the music and not to get f**ked up. I now need a vacation to recover from last night!
