wait a second, why can't i find the guy i'm talking about? i'm looking at all the germany player profiles and i dont see him.
i think he was #20, but i just looked up 20's picture and it's not him. he has very light blonde hair and he's very boyish looking. i think he might be a forward because he was attempting a lot of goals.

Kinda. Here's what you've got to do:
Go to Fifa's World Cup site (I've just realised I sent you the Portuguese version in that previous post, sorry )
You see that menu on the left? There's a dropdown menu there that reads "Select a Team" - pick the team whose players you want to see. As an example, I'm choosing the US.
Now you can see all info from the teat you selected, right? There's a menu just beside the team's flag (Overview | News | Photos | Profile | Squad | Coach | Statistics | Preliminaries | Country Info). Choose "Squad". That would get you here.
