i just had the same happend to me, ive sent it back to get it fixed they also told me that Ive got to watch out for low quality cd's. This is just my opinion even tho the cdj is desigend to handle alot of scratching etc, but i can't see how its healthy in the long term and doing heavy backspinns. Its alot to pay for doing a simple trick. Im taking better care these days the warranty is going to run out soon. still had to pay £20 just post it.

When you back spin the on the platter its not like the cd backspins or something. I doubt scratching on a cdj will effect the cd/cdj life at all.

its just my opinion...last thing i did on the deck before it became faulty was a backspin...like i said im just taking better care from now on

def sounds like you should call up pioneer man. Or if u still have the receipt and its within the time limit return it! you shouldnt have to deal with that bs
