they are more expensive, but if you look carefully you can get a set for about £399 - I guess that is twice the money of the alesis ones, but at least you won't need to upgrade for a while, and when we get into producing for 5.1 it's a relatively cheap upgrade.
I found the accuracy of the blueskys to be a lot better and worth the extra £200 - which on some weekends is a couple of nights out 
blueskys are about the same as tr8's in terms of price - the tr8's sound pretty damned nice to me as well; it would be a close thing between them and the bluesky if I were buying them now |
You ever heared the krk series? the rp6 and rp8 are awesome and even de rp5 is really strong for the price (170 euros each, so 340 for a pair)...i dunno, i found them better than the alesis mk's
