It sounds like she has hard contact lenses, of which I have no experience with. I have soft lenses. Whoever has hard contact lenses needs to leave the 1970's already.

If you have a big astigmatism you still need hard ones. Could be like that.

I say "it died" for basicly anything. Today my eyes died because I slept in my contacts lastnight. (actually true)

I have pretty bad astigmatism, but I've never heard of getting hard contacts as a viable option. If I had a choice between that and glasses I'd just go back to wearing glasses. Which I still wear glasses on a daily basis at night when I remove my contacts. I just have no interest in hard contacts.

normally contact lenses last throughout a year or less maybe

if shes got disposables normally about 3-4 weeks..

how dou u know this? well its cause over time they start wearing out you can see less clearly, and no matter how much you clean them, they arent the same and dont stick in your eyes.

I have astigmatism too in one eye, so the contacts have to be a different thickness at one point to compensate.

I guess if it was REALLY bad, you might need hard lenses, but I cant see why.
