I have the utmost respect for Ferry Corsten (more than any trance dj/producer) even though he may not be my style and his sets may be full of cheesey pop anthems.. To every DJ their own style. I can't take that away from him.

this guy has singlehandedly built the trance scene to where its at.

Without him trance may sound completely different.

Ferry himself has stated that he has already done everything in trance. I believe him. Not saying there is no room for experimentation in trance but almost everything the up and comers are doing now, Ferry did it back then.

Ferry is an ace musician, top studio guy, and has more pseudonyms than a shark has teeth. Even though the quantity of tracks exceeds most trance producers today. The quality is just as much there.

When people cover trance classics, they almost always cover the Ferry Corsten Mix

i.e. Blank and Jones - Catch containing more elements of Kosheen - Catch (Ferry Corsten Mix) than the original.

hey im one of those who think that the L.E.F. album is fuckin off the chain!!!~ He has perfered being unique from the other Trance DJs/Producers -- if you listen to one of his productions, there is NO mistaking who created it. The other trance producers (even PVD and Armin) have started to sound alike IMO well they throw down HARDER in NYC so to me they now their sets sound similar...goddddddd PVD what happened to the days of 'Out There And Back' You were my #1

I like "FIRE" but beautiful just irks me now..At the begining I liked it somewhat, but now its just annoying and it sounds like chesse..Im glad Armin at the Tabacco in NY was great..He doesnt play anything like that in Miami anymore only when he came last October..
