This shit is unheard of, even though Central American political big wigs are ALL corrupt..

lol wtf are you going on about, Bolivia is in South America not Central America Cultures vary quite a bit, so saying that its not acceptable in Nicaragua doesnt make it unacceptable in Bolivia

it was really clever what you did there, I'm impressed.
unfortuneately however, it hasn't detracted from the fact you've made an idiot out of yourself, everyone ignored you, so you thought you'd quote yourself just to highlight it again. You fucking rock.

Coca leaf chewing is not the same as doing a line of coke. Natives from Incan countries (ie: bolivia, peru, etc) have been doing it since the Incans were around.

ehh..dude, it's not really an opinion he's stating. It's a fact. Coca leaf chewing has been done since the Pre-Columbian times. Incans used to used leaves as part of rituals and offerings to the Sun god. They were also used and are still used as a way to control thrist, hunger and fatigue. The leaves are still wildely consumed amongst native communities mostly in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, and the northern parts of Chile and Argentina. Hell, as a tourist there are some tours you can take where you are offered coca as a tea to help you with altitude problems.

And I highly doubt people from your "background" haven't heard about coca leaf chewing in South America.

ps, nobody is being pompous ass. dont get offended at your own ignorance

Central South America is quite unique when it comes to coke - and that's not because they're cokeheads or anything. Here are some things you might want to know

  • Coke leaves are not nearly as powerful as cocaine: I get more energy drinking coffee (Brazilian-style) than drinking coca tea (which is just as legal as green tea, by the way).
  • Native Bolivians have chewed on coke leaves for centuries. They do this not just because it makes them feel good, but because it works as a remedy against many altitude sicknesses, hunger and so on.
  • Evo Morales is himself a traditional Native Bolivian. Therefore, it's actually expected to see him doing this sort of thing.
  • In spite of American protests, cultivation of coca leaves in Bolivia (and Peru) is legal for traditional uses.
  • This is not common in surround countries: The only reason why I've tried Coca tea is because my uncle used to work in Bolivia.

    That thing tastes horrible!

No, not in Amazon, in the Andes.

And the president is a radical native Bolivian. Like I said, that's what you'd expect from him.
