Hey man,

I'm tired so I skimmed your question, and I'm not familiar with overseas brands but where you mentioned "steroid," I'm assuming you're referring to "corticosteroids" (probably fluticasone?). Anyway, basically when he says you should use it on a regular basis, it's to treat your underlying inflammation which occurs in asthma, where substances are released causing mucous secretion, inflammation and a restricted airway passage. This is opposed to the "asthma attack", or before exercise medicine (salbutamol) which works by quickly relieving the inflammation (short term)... but is not really beneficial internally for long term.

Now in terms of diminishing your life, well what the treatment is prescribed for is to improve that internal inflammation that I was talking about earlier, so your body will eventually adapt and will result in easier breathing... otherwise, if you asthma isn't well controlled it'll be progressively more difficult for you to breathe, and thus carry out certain activities... eg. sport... sex...

Hope that helps a little bit...

Night champ.

I used to have fairly bad asthma when i was younger, but i havent had to go to the hospital or even the doctor once in the last few years with anything asthma related except to get my inhaler renewed. I found that my cat was the biggest cause of my asthma and now i make sure that if i touch it that i wash my hands afterwards and that it is not allowed into my bedroom and that one chair in the living room is cat free to avoid the cat hair. This works relatively well but not having a cat would be better but that clearly isnt an option for you either

i dont have asthma, but i definitely think i have some sort of heart irregularities that limit my physical ability to do cardio for long periods of time. i have those "arrythmias" at least once a week, and i've been having them since 4th or 5th grade. i'm sure stress and my coke usage for about a year didn't help things but anyway, i need to have it checked out when i finally get some good health insurance.

even during times of my life where i was in the best shape ever (like in high school when i was on the soccer team), i STILL just never got used to the cardio. everyone always struggles in the beginning when you haven't gone running/jogging in a long time, and you just need to keep at it and eventually your heart gets in better shape and you're able to get that "runner's high" or at least able to tolerate the running without practically dying...yea, i never get that, no matter how hard i try or keep at it.

i was talking about my symptoms with zoso actually and he brought up mpv...or something like that. i forget. anyway it has to do with the flaps in your heart not working properly or something. i looked it up and it's quite common i guess and i had like pretty much all of the symptoms like chronic cold hands and feet, etc..

and i have difficulty breathing too even after walking up a bunch of stairs. i mean i know i'm not in that good a shape, but i'm also not THAT bad...christ, it's not like i weigh a thousand pounds. i should be able to walk up some stairs without trouble breathing. oh well. sucks though, i really wish i was able to run and experience this "runner's high" that everyone talks about.

dude, i didn't even know what the hell i was doing. lol the coach just didn't make any cuts, so that's the only reason why i was on the team. hahaha

no but seriously, our coach was a marine corps. drill sergeant ok? so yea, he ran our asses until we were like dying and he had no mercy for us. and we had practice in the snow too. i remember we'd be all huddled in line doing drills, freezing our asses off. god that sucked.

anyway, even after the season, i still felt like i was going to die after doing our running exercises.

bench warmers ftw!

Please go to a homeopath and check out some alternative remedies. Allopathic drugs are nt the best solution.
