The Ear plugs wont help. Honestly. But they WILL protect your hearing, so buy them for that purpose alone. A fucked up sound is a fucked up sound at the end of the day.

yeah exactly, ear plugs won´t improve the sound quality, but at least you don t get out of the club with your ears hurting and listening to that piiiiiiiii sound for hours...

damn that sucks.. i don't think i've ever had that issue with any UK clubs. there's been a few times where the mids & treble have been way too high though, which doesn't distort the sound but is murder on your eardrums and leaves you with tinitus the following morning

every club i have ever been to in the uk blares out at way too loud volumes, go to germany and it's 20db quieter,

clubs like gatecrasher and godskitchen are the devils arse when it comes to loudness,

decent earplugs just reduce the volume, not the frequencies you can hear,

i have a pair of triflanges that have served me well over the years, i just put them in and forget about them,

I've noticed most DJs don't care about the gains in the mixer when spinning..

That's true! but the issue of the bass and kick loudness is related with the PA (Public Address) sound system. In this case i suggest move around and find a place where it sounds better.

In my case it would have been standing outside, next to the street
