The second edition of the major Armin Only event is scheduled to take place in Rotterdam’s Ahoy’ on Saturday, 11 November.
The debut in 2005 was an astonishing success on multiple fronts, which obviously called for a sequel.
Last year, the event drew over 12,000 visitors who experienced an unforgettable night, which can best be described as an enchanting musical trip with dozens of surprises along the way.
Superstar DJ Armin van Buuren was accompanied by a variety of guest musicians during his amazing nine and a half hour set, including Racoon, Jan Vayne and Ray Wilson, in a dazzling, beautifully decorated hall.
Armin: ‘I’ve never worked harder than I did during Armin Only The Next Level, but then again I’ve never gotten so much satisfaction from any other event, either.
Despite the sheer size of the venue, the vibe was remarkably intimate, with dance lovers from all over the world.’
Although Armin Only 2006 will be set up in more or less the same way as last year’s premier edition, the event will most certainly not be switched on auto pilot.
The theme of Armin Only 2006 is water, which will be reflected in the decor, visuals and show in ways that are nothing short of spectacular.
Furthermore, surprise guest performances will accent Armin van Buuren’s nine and a half hour set.
This year, 11 November also marks Armin’s 10th anniversary as a producer, which will be commemorated with the release of a ‘Best Of’ CD. Armin: ‘We aren’t looking to re-invent the wheel in terms of musical content and show; the backbone of the party will once again be a long DJ set.
But the decor will be completely different.
At Armin Only 2006, surprise is the magic word.’
