Isnt this like lots of songs mixed in to one?

I dont like it sorry
lol

There are a few melodies/parts which I think would sound good more tranced up.

I might try one, say 10 minutes longer to make it an hour and see what feedback it gets lol

Do you know Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells?
Your track, some elements and the length reminded me alot of tubular bells.
It's a long and epic track, I really most of the piano sounds...

Hope to find more like this here on this forum...

thoughtlessjex: I understand what you mean about the accessibility. Yes, it probably should be split into parts. As for the long beatless section from about 31:00 to 34:00 -- one of my favorite gimmicks in DJ sets is the "pre-climax track with no beat that lets you cool down before the final frenzy", so that's sort of what that's for...

Oh, and once again, as silly as it sounds, that rough, wonky sounding production was intentional The lack of creative sound design was also intentional. I love the idea of juxtaposing VERY basic, low-fi and stripped-down electronic sounds with complicated musical composition, so that's what I was going for.

Trancevision: I grew up listening to Tubular Bells. I agree that my track shows a strong Mike Oldfield/Tubular Bells influence, so I'm delighted that you think so too -- by the way, the length of Trial of the Mind is 48:49 if you discount the trailing silence at the end. That's EXACTLY the same length as Tubular Bells (both parts combined), down to the very second! And it was a complete accident! Crazy, huh?

I listened to this while playing torus trooper, for fifty whole minutes

very game-y... vgm remix project anyone?

there are some pretty neat highs, and i wouldn't be able to listen to this in one sitting but overall... wow.

It is my duty to inform you all that KilldaDJ's "Found Atlantis mix" of my track's outro is a must-listen!

Reminds me of the best of Cygnus X and Piet and Benno

Consider it a demo though as it's still in early stages clearly.

So I took the liberty and remixed one of the tracks I liked the most.

It's an old remix so I might re-do it to get quality more up to date, but here it is
