I wouldn't worry about system resources too much.
Your computer will work fine even with 5% system resources.
You 'could' have some faulty RAM though...RAM can do wierd things...
I only way to verify that however would be to take the RAM and see if you still get the pausing and freezing.
If your system is under warranty then I highly suggest taking it back to were you got the RAM, tell them the problem and ask them to take the RAM out or swap the RAM module.

The other thing you can look at is the location of your paging (aka swap) file. If it's on the same physical drive as your OS and you have another physical drive, I'd suggest moving it over there.

That's my best suggestion.

Well compatibility between ram is like, the Sclub7 and DJ Tiesto, it just doesnt go and causes problems.

the celeron and the pentium are 2 different processors

Celeron and Pentium2/3 are same processor with different amount of cache (128K vs 256K), bus speed (100Mhz vs 133 Mhz), and multimedia instructions (MMX and SSE vs MMX+SSE+SSE2) . the celeron is a cripple version of pentium. it is design for budget market not the regular market.

i dont think pentium 2's went up to 733..only up to 450
