The new site seems to be much slower than the previous version. And if anything, it's not a redesign but a change in font and more awkward graphics. Nothing seems to work so far.

Anyone know what the changes are supposed to be?

Great, it was back up for 5 minutes and now they've taken it back down.

It's way slower & they must still be workin' on it, 'cuz it's buggy as all hell right now.

Looks like they did the following:

* Drop-down menu added for search (title, artist, label, etc. without having to go to advanced search)
* Hourglass-like thing when it's loading, instead of just sitting there
* Play button now always says play, but pops in & out when it's on or off
* Looks like they might've fixed the bug which caused 2 tracks to play back when you clicked on one, it didn't load immediately, then you clicked on another one and the 1st one started playing later, leaving you with one bizarre sample
* Top 10 Expanded to Top 100

...and the site just shut back down, so I don't know what else is on there now, since I can't look anymore...

Thanks for that end-user review, you're useful...ehmm sometimes.

I would like for them to make the sound samples longer. Nothing bugs me more then when I buy a track and find out the rest of it I didn't hear sucks!

oh so theyre upgrading, I thought it was just down. I was getting kinda pissed off but hopefully it wont suck anymore. I hate it when you try to buy a track and it signs you out.

I doubt that's ever gonna happen...when you think about it, though, how many times has that actually happened?

The other thing like that, which I've found myself running into more often, is that the sample sounds 'good,' but the actual track is poorly produced and, despite having a nice melody/bassline/structure/whatever, somebody just didn't spend enough time on it & it winds up being worthless anyways.

Honestly, on the whole I can't complain about Beatport. Nothing beats a huge selection of tracks in full quality wav available for instant download.

But still, I'm getting a bit impatient for it to come back up!
