Well getting two decks for the price of one CDJ-200 seems like a good reason to me

Slot loading is nice but totally unecessary... I mean, most dual-decks are all tray loading... what's the big deal?

CDJ200s 0.02% PS makes it up for all that. I cannot comment on C314's effects since I have never used it but I’m sure it’s nicer to get a good mixer with efx and sample sequencer. Also Stanton's cd players don’t have slot loading.

I was mostly referring to the 314 that’s coming out very soon and it’s the same price as the 200. But yes the 303 at $150 is actually a hot deal for somebody who can’t afford the 200s. Regarding the slot loading if you get used to it you can’t go back, it’s really nicer.

Mixer wise I was going to get a Stanton M.304 because a friend was offering me a brand new one for 200$ instead of the regular 350$.

I guess it's now down to picking between the CDJ-200 or C.314 since they're both the same price heh.

If you are starting out then you won’t need those features on the 314, instead the CDJ200 will keep your beats matched better than the Stanton’s. Sorry I don’t have any experience with Stanton’s mixers but I know for the price you want to spend you can buy a DJM-300, I have it and love it.

Thanks for all the info, I think I'm going to go ahead and get a pair of CDJ-200s. I'm still not too sure about the mixers though, so I'm going to read up on the DJM-300 vs. the M.304

yeah i would pick the cdj 200 over the stantons because ultimately the only features the stanton has are the scratching and sampler/hot cue. However you are likely not to even need those features and the cdj-200 has effects and a .02% pitch control. Also don't under any circumstance get the djm-300. The thing, while solid, is incredibly outdated. It has no features whatsoever, the cueing system is laughable and when there is sunlight out you don't wtf is going on, my channel fader is also starting to give out, however after a couple of years of minimal use, the BPM counters are worthless, and there is no crossfader adjustment. Ultimately if you even consider the djm-300 over the stanton for a second then you must be out of your mind. Let us not omit the fact that the stanton also includes and extra channel, an effects loop, booth volume control, kill switches and sounds 10X better than the pioneer.

spdandpwr, I don’t use the BPM counter of the 300, nether its cross fader so you might be right about that, but I'm not sure what is wrong with the cueing system and why it sounds ten times worst than the Stanton. Booth volume and kill switches aren’t that important for a beginner. It’s better to master the EQ rather than using kill switches. However you are right regarding the features, I have 5 different effects per channel before my signal goes to the DJM including HPF and LPF so I never cared about features.

Alright, thanks then, 2x CDJ-200 and 1x Stanton M.304 it shall be!

i don't use bpm counters either but just in case people were wondering i put it in. As for the cue system. pressing buttons in order to get split cue or in order to listen to one channel or just listen to the master on the djm gets annoying especially when you are trying to get it right so you can mix in your next record quickly. BTW i should have not been so quick to speak about sound amongst the two since its a matter of personal opinion however the djm does sound a bit muddy and the superior sound technology has be given great reviews.

You are right. I think both are matter of personal opinion, at the end I don’t love the DJM300 or any pioneer mixer for that matter, but I think for $150 you cant go wrong with DJM300. I'm saving for a :62, that mixer looks custom made for me.
