The irony with Trilogy is it isnt really a VST. Its a giant sampler that samples some of the best damn acoustic basses and analogue mono synths ever made. Trilogy's synth bass section reads like a list of classic analogue monos - Minimoog, SH-101, Pro-one etc etc.

yeahh?? thens funny why it appears on my vst instrument list (when i press F11 in cubase) i think what u mean its that is not a VST INSTRUMENT, which in any case its also wrong. Although its not based on any kind of synthesis (subtractive, fm , virtual analog ) its still considered a vsti, just that as i said its sample based virtual instrument.

Sorry I didnt word my reply properly. What I meant to say is that Trilogy sounds good because it is literally a multisampled instrument of all the best analogue monosynths ever made. Which is just plain unfair

The thing that makes Trilogy not so good is the filter. It would be perfect if it had a sweepable analogue modelled filter to go with the multisamples.

You cant give someone a minimoog and not let them low pass filter sweep it. Its just cruel

HAhaha...

A Waldorf Pulse would probably be right up your street if you're looking for a moog but are strapped for cash, get one for about £175 second hand.

Some people have even been as bold as saying they like it more than the minimoog. Does a good 303 imitation too. Smooth as silk filter that self-oscillates. Decent modulation matrix.

Bargain
