You can't make that argument

Yes...there could have been oil legislation while Clinton was in office, but you also have to remember that the GOP ruled congress for a majority of that time (Newt and all those boys).

It's simple, really.....look at how many vetoes were executed while clinton was in office versus bush in office.

obviously clinton was going to veto bills passed by the GOP while he was in office, like you said the legislative branch was controlled primarily by the GOP, hence the executive branch was executing its checks and balances.

the executive branch and legislative branch are contolled by the GOP currently, so why would there be any vetos? they're both playing for the same team.
