Actually, its just an illustration as to which DJ has the biggest fan group because most of the voters I would assume dont know their music and often times are genre snobs who refuse to listen to a new sound/DJ outside those that play their music of choice. Unless, professionals in the field are the ones who make the decision, this type of personal bias will always affect the rankings. Hell if we were to decide which sportsman was number 1 instead of the officials, it would usually always be the good looking one with the most charisma.
In any case, the concept of having a number 1 DJ is utterly ridiculous. I dont recall a rankings system for the best rock band or something like that.
