i think a lot of MIKE's productions seem to sound unfinished... to me anyway. but there are a couple of his which are truly amazin like the legacy and universal nation... the others just seem to fall short of the mark. excellent ideas though.. maybe with a touch better production his tunes would be much better on my ears

COULD NOT AGREE TO A GREATER DEGREE!!!!!!!!!

I think this ranks as the biggest wasted potential of all time. Imagine how much more huge it could have been...
those vocals make me want to run for the toilet

WASTED POTENTIAL:
NuNRG - Dreamland.

Why? Well, you know, in the beginning of the song, when there is a small build-up leading to the complete bassline, and then suddenly it all breaks off and we're left with the most primitive kick, after that build-up. Why did they do it? Also: in the MAIN build-up, when the synths start soaring, they just end with a simple kick-line that's not even danceable. Granted, they develop into kick-and-snare later, but the build-up loses its magic...

I gotta disagree with that Nu-Nrg - Dreamland analysis.

It's not meant to be a dance song. It's an epic, emotional, inspiring tune, not a synth-lined trance effort. It does what it was intended to do.

this reminds me of the joke... "what is the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically'?"

The Resistance D Remix has the vocals, and it's by far the best mix of Into the Night....
I really like the vocals, cuz the Resistance D mix makes em shine.

I would have to say:
Beam & Yanou - The Freefall
(Dude, this track could be so awesome, but somehow they cheeze it up...somehow... still not bad, but could be alot better.)

About Dreamland: You're so right!!!
After the final buildup the energy really dives...
It ends with a realease rather than an explosion...

Still kickass, but could be better ocourse...
