This movie was definitely both of these.
Predictable: A bunch of girls repeatedly got the shit kicked out of them by a monster no one knew was there. This reminds me of...hmm...every creature movie ever made.
A Happy Ending: The good girl lived! How much happier can you get? You want an unhappy ending? Watch night of the living dead. That doesn't have a happy ending.
Don't get me wrong. This is a good movie, and definitely one of the best horror movies to come out in a while. But to call it one of the best ever is quite a stretch. Even in the creature genre, to compare this to Alien is insane. This movie is good, but won't be remembered any more than wrong turn in a few years. Remembered, yes. Classic, no. |
horrible interpretation of predictable. I guess the trailer leaked too much information too you.
happy ending. far from it. THe US ending had the woman living with the ghost of Juno haunting her from there on. The international ending had her regaining re-awakening in the cave only to watch some light diminish, knowing she'd never escape.

| quote: | | ...known from a videotape the two made when they met in March... in Dresdens home, Dresden amputated Gabriels penis and Dresden and Gabriel ate the penis together...Gabriel had insisted that Dresden bite his penis off; this did not work.. Dresden used a knife. When that knife turned out to be too blunt, Dresden used a sharper knife to slice the penis off. Gabriel apparently tried to eat his share of his own penis..but could not because it was too..."chewy". Dresden then sautéed the penis in a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic. |
