Yeah, they said rent was getting too expensive so they're temporarily closed as of Sept. 1 until they find a new location.

Oh yeah, so let's say that I do the cueing up using the jogwheel to find the first beat, but when i finally hit play to start beatmatching it isn't exactly on with the beat and is like 1/4 off beat. Can the jogwheel be used to speed up or slow down the cued track to be on-beat with the track in the monitors, or would I have to do something else to keep trying to land it on the same beat (with only having to adjust pitch after)?

yes you can. spin it counterclockwise to slow it down and clockwise to speed it up.
and if you don't have a good feeling for the jog wheel you can always ride the pitch anyway like in any player.

Ok, so if I were to go back to the cue point in case my beatmatching attempt is all screwed up how would I do that? I'm assuming the CDJ has a stop button right? :P

no it doesn't have a stop button.
you go back to the cue point by pressing the cue button when the tune is playing and it stops there and you can start again from the cue point by pressing play.

Ok, so let me get this straight:

Pressing cue while the track is paused sets the cue at that point in the track.

Pressing cue while the track is playing moves the track back to the cue point.

Is this pretty much how it works?

yep! You can fine tune the cue point by either taping the fast forward arrows or spinning the jogwheel slightly.

Relax man CDJ 100s are easy to work. Put in a CD press play, press pause (the play button again) when you hear the first beat. Use the jog wheel to back up the frames to the frame right before the first beat. Press the cue button. Now your cue is set and you just have to press play when you want to. Use the pitch fader and jog wheel to beatmatch like a turntable and you're on your way to flawless CDJ mixing. Don't listen to anyone who says you need more than .1% pitch resolution to pull off smooth mixes because you don't.
