I am a Texican myself.

Eh, the stereotypes are mostly true.

Here's a couple of bumperstickers I've seen:

"My carpenter is a Jewish cowboy"

"Jesus or Hell"

"In case of rapture car will be unmanned"

"Stop global whining"

Hehe, yeah I've seen a few of those here in Kansas as well. But living in Librul Lawrence, the lovely college town that it is, I tend to see some other interesting bumperstickers, such as:

"In case of rapture, can I have your car?"

"Jesus was my co-pilot, but then we crashed in the Andes and I had to eat him"

"Buck Fush"

"Don't ask me what happened, I voted for Kerry"

And so on. Nice to be in a little librul oasis out here .

from John Hinderacker a couple days ago.

from Kathleen Parker

no offence, but do you think a real Texan would give a damn?

Did you honestly expect anything less from Hindraker, the bootlicking asskisser that he is? Jesus that little tripe essay wouldn't be so damn laughable if it wasn't so outlandishly fucking ridiculous. My God, Bush is really that intellectually curious?

I must have monkeys growing out of my ass lately or something.....

Oh fuck, I think I just had wine go up my nose. Did Hindraker really say this?:

quote:
"It must be very strange to be President Bush. A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can't get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another . . ."

Was he being serious? Jesus. I mean, Jesus Christ. Wow.

God I can't stop laughing. That's really the fucking most precious statement I've seen in a long, long while! ROTFL or whatever the fuck that means - I'm on the floor laughing my fucking guts out!

Oh damn. I think I really needed that. Thanks, John. That was just plain fucking terrific!

I can't stop!!!!! Jesus!!!!!!!! I can't breathe!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh God......help!!!!! Please?!?!?!?!?! My ribs hurt!!!!!!! Fuck, I'm crying now......this is sooooooo bad! I gotta go.......

Actually, this quote from Hindraker stopped me from gutbusting for a second:

quote:
His persona is very much that of the big brother

Indeed it is. How poignant.

The Mrs. is reading 1984 for her bookclub. Scaring the shit out of her. These are indeed mysterious times.

No, it's true see. He's like a latter day James Joyce, deliberately breaking down all the barriers of prose and grammar in the English language for the sake of art. Every sentence clumsily uttered is really just a closely layered pun, unconfined by the stifling syntax of everyday English. No doubt, when his genius is finally acknowledged by that retrograde intellectual effete, his public musings will become like a bottomless font of delight and intrigue for generations of literary scholars to come.
