i think if you like a software and use it alot, then you should buy it (if you can ofcourse). as for the dongled stuff, everything can a will get cracked

very true... there will always be a way around locks. As a software developer, you are in a race against a lot of people who are generally pretty well educated who will reverse engineer and disassemble your products.

The only company I can think of that legitimately can protect themselves is Microsoft, because if your cdkey isn't on the whitelist, you can't get security patches. But if windows was worth a damn in the first place, you wouldn't need bugfixes because it wouldn't have had them.

there is no reason for a peice of software to be $1000...that's ridiculous...
