Edit: On a serious note, I'm just happy to see the guy not take the route mostly all bigger djs are taking. He has pretty much developed his own sound and style with his tracks and his sets. That, to me, is a great thing for people who enjoy EDM and the scene in general. Its neat you can go see a dj like Armin, PvD, Tiesto, etc.. and hear them drop his tracks. Then you go see him perform a dj set and it sounds nothing like what they are playing. |
I can only partially agree to this. He has managed to retain a particular sound, but to me it's slowly morphed more and more into the sound of yesteryear's tech house jocks. He isn't dropping 1983 at the beginning of some generic trance set, but instead dropping an old, played out Axer - 1, 2, 3 in a generic tech house set with some tech trance/techno to back it up. Seems tired to me.
