or any of that kind of old music. that was their club music back then, heh. i could go on and on, there's just so much great music to dance to outside of EDM.

some danceable rock that just popped in my head:

Van Halen - hot for teacher
Doors - peace frogs
Velvet Underground - "What goes on", or "beginning to see the light"

this could be a really good thread that could introduce some rare gems/songs we've never heard before, or well known tunes we know but never took the time to realize they're great to dance to. some songs you can even blend right into an EDM set! Mark Farina regularly transitions into James Brown tunes at the end of his sets, he blends it so well its amazing.

edit: ahh nevermind i just reread the thread topic, it has to be top40, what a letdown. well wait, can it be top40 from years ago or does it have to be 2006?
